Get on Fire!!

If you don't have a fire to see the lost saved I challenge you to view your mom, dad, brother, sister, cousin, neighbor, coworker, child in eternal torment and looking straight at you asking why didn't you tell me about Jesus, my sin, God. If that doesn't touch your heart nothing will. Stay in the word everyday. Find at least one way to minister to someone. Drop off a tract, make a phone call, leave a note, make a website, a video whatever it is do it to reach the lost. Pray to God on how you can reach people. Pray for boldness, Pray for strength. Walk out a biblical life.

What do you really believe?

I've just found a poll that only 10% of believers think that the bible is the true word of God. Are there any true believers left? I've been working hard on reaching the lost, moving, working and much much more. But I always find time for God and at least 1 verse of scripture as I go through my day. Please keep praying, believing and serving.

Blessings in the Fire

I'm so blessed right now to tell you that no matter how hard life can get God is so good. I've been going through the fire for close to 4 years now and God has put a joy in my heart that almost moves me to tears daily. I'm working hard on some new messages and I've had to put my book on hold but I'm sure things will improve on that front soon. Thank you to everyone who visits this site I hope that God uses to do great things in your life and that you are encouraged.

We are the Hands and Feet!!!!

When are we finally going to be put to action? We are the hands and feet of God. There are so many needs all around this world. So many hurt, lost, broken, depressed, hated, fearfully living life. We need to not just be praying but be moved to action. Encourage your neighbor who is going through that tough time, visit a sick person in the hospital, visit someone in a nursing home, if you have more than enough..give to someone in need. God can use each and every single one of us. Remember Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strenghtens me.

Church Bulletin Bloopers

Here are some great church bulletin bloopers.

-The ladies of the of the church have cast off clothing of every kind, and they can be seen in the church basement Friday afternoon.

-For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs.

-The pastor will preach his farewell message, after which the choir will sing, "Break Forth into Joy."

-Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our church and community.

-During the absence of our pastor, we enjoyed the rare privilege of hear a good sermon when J.F. Stubbs supplied our pulpit.

-Potluck supper: prayer and medication to follow.

-Don't let worry kill you off..let the church help.

Found these and thought people would enjoy them.

Do you walk in fear or in faith?

Have you ever witnessed or shared your faith with an unbeliever? Do you think about about but say I'm too nervous or they won't listen? If you do then you are walking in a spirit of fear. The Bible says in Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. So now we know that we can do all things and that we can walk in faith to witness to others. The worst thing that can happen is someone is just not interested and rejects you. 2 Timothy 3:12:“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” (KJV). So this shouldn't be a shock that we get rejected here and there. Now you have decided to share your faith but where do you start? First you could start by saying hi to a stranger. You could talk about something like the weather, sports, something to find a common ground with this person. Then ask them a question such as "What do you think happens we a person dies?" or "Do you have a Christian background?" Now these are questions that won't upset a person because you aren't accusing them or trying to show Jesus down there throat. Then if they say they don't know or they don't have a Christian background you can ask them "Do you think you are a good person?" Now most people will say that they are and then what we can do is ask "Do you think you've kept the ten commandments?" We can go through each one asking if the person has broken each one and what that makes them. Such as liar, thief, etc. If they don't say the word ask them what it would make you if you broke them. Then after completing this ask them according to God's standard (Ten Commandments) would they be guilty or innocent in God's eyes on Judgement Day. If they say innocent ask why? If they say because God is compassionate then ask if that would work in a court of law? Would a good judge set you free? Of course not. Then tell them that there is good news. The penalty of there sin has been paid by Jesus and if they will repent of there sins and trust that Jesus is the son of God and died from there sins they can be saved on Judgement day. Pray with them and ask them if they have a Bible. If not carry one with you to give out to those who you speak with. You have saved someone and not offended them.

God Bless you and keep you,

Have you ever broken the law?

Have you ever broken a law without even knowing it? Perhaps you were in a new place where the law was not clear to you. Does that absolve you from that law? No it doesn't! As Christians we should all be aware of this but few of us are. In the Bible God gave Moses the ten commandments, a set of laws that showed us what sin is. Sin is by definition the breaking of the ten commandments. It is by this that we are convicted of our sin in the court of God. So take for example this in the Bible it says "All liars will have their place in the lake of fire." Now that means that everyone who has ever told even one lie will end up in Hell. Now just because everyone else you know has lied do you think God will change his law? No, of course not. God will judge all men(and women) on Judgement day. Because God is good and there are no men(and women) who are good. The Bible states clearly in

As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;" (NIV)

As it is written, None is righteous, just and truthful and upright and conscientious, no, not one. [Ps. 14:3.] (AMP)

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (KJV)

So what do we do to if God has convicted us of our sins. Not just lying but all transgression of the ten commandments.

We go to Jesus. Jesus died on the cross for all humanity's sin. He paid the penalty of the Law for us. Jesus lived a life without sin. He was sent to the cross to bare the punishment of all our sin.

Remember this the Bible says in Psalm 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul:

God Bless and keep you,

Shane

Happy New Year

It's a new year and God has new things for us. I believe this will be a year of blessing and that God has those things for us we have been praying for just in reach. Be on guard for attacks from the enemy. He doesn't want us to have what God has for us. Be of good cheer. My book will be put on hold for this year unless a new window opens for it. I've been preparing for a new tv show for the church I attend (Harvest Pointe Christian Church). I've been praying and preparing for God to open doors that have been closed to me and I believe He will do it for you also. Remember Ephesians 3:20 God is able to do far more than I can ever imagine or dream of, beyond our highest dreams, hopes and desires.
