This year make it a priority to spend time in the bible and in prayer. It seems like the middle east and the rest of the world is falling apart before our eyes. God is moving and we are definatly getting closer to the end times here. Do not be lukewarm be hot! We don't know when he is coming and when the end is. Only God knows.

It's hard to believe that one day you wake up and wonder how you got there. Today started as one of those days for me. I looked in the mirror and didn't recognize the person standing there..me.

Far too often and much too easily we can have pride, grudges and just about every other bad thing raise up in our lives and take hold. The big question becomes did we even notice them latching on?

Today I got up and noticed these things crawling all over me and knew I needed to clean them off. I prayed about it and hope that I begin to remove these negative things from my life.

It is so easy to become bitter, angry or just not want anything to do with people because of one thing they did that hurt us. Why do we hold on to it? What gives us a right to do that? Nothing but selfishness!

Today I hope to throw those things away and feel free of negative feelings and actions again! I hope you will as well.

Remember God sent a sinless son to die for all of us so that we could be forgiven! So let's forgive too!

What I'm Up To!!

Thank you to everyone for the prayers for my wife and I. We greatly appreciate them!

Starting on a few projects this week that will continue into next year. Project1. I've got one more ghost dvd project up my sleeve that begins taping this week. I started it because I thought I've got some new equipment that would be very good for a dark setting project as far as low light.
Project 2. I am working on a shorter project on a giant snake legend in a town that no longer exists called blowville, ohio. I've got some great people involved that will be giving info on snakes, the legend and wether it could be true.
Project 3. I will be sitting down this week with the Clermont County Veterans Association and talking about a potential interview project with Clermont County Veterans.
Project 4. There was a serial killer in the New Richmond area in the 1800s and to my knowledge the story has never been told so who better to tell it than a clermont county native ..me!

I know these are not the most Godly projects but with each project I do improve on my abilities and hope that the door opens for a more Godly project.

I am still writing away on "Healer." It's slow going but I feel confident that I am half way through the writing and will if all things go together...have it released mid to late 2012.

God is good even when we can get overwhelmed with change.My wife and I have been busy adjusting to married life and a surprising blessing! It's so funny when you are married the big adjustment it becomes because you already know the person and they know you but you just have to get used to them always being there. I used to just come home from work watch a little tv or read and go to bed..now it's ok we both have laundry to do and are the dishes in the dishwasher clean or dirty and do I need to pick anything up for her...Am I forgetting anything? lol But married life is a blessing and I very strongly believe I have chosen well....but when does life slow back down for us both.I need to start writing on "Healer" again because it's definitely been a while since I picked up the pen and wrote or sat down at my mac mini and just typed away. Please keep this project in your prayers.Not much happening on the video front despite my best efforts no documentaries to work on. I did shoot the testimonies of a couple of friends and thank God I did!We started going to a new church in our town and have really enjoyed it and the way they are involved in the community is a true blessing.So many people are out of work or can't find a job that pays way/ has benefits please keep them in your prayers! You don't know if you will be joining them.God bless you and stay encouraged because this isn't our final destination and God has a place prepared for us!

Lots of stuff coming up! I'm getting married very soon! God blessed me with an incredible woman who is very good to me! I've never been married before so I'm in for some changes that will keep her and I busy moving stuff, fixing things and just getting the house settled.

The brakes have been put on the Clermont County Indian documentary and I hope that it is able to be done in the future.

I am slowly putting up poems from my new book "Warrior" on www.richardshanereinert.com. I'm sure there is a poem there for everyone!

People wanting to see "Candlelight By Night" can request it at any Clermont County Library branch or if you are really wanting to see it you can buy it at filmbaby.com.

We are starting to look for a new church to attend closer to home and would really appreciate prayers so that we end up in the place we belong and can be useful!

Sept. 11 anniversary is coming up and the more I see the footage the more I remember being in the pit at Cincinnati State University and the security guards running in and changing the channel right after the first plane hit. It was life altering! Classes got cancelled and I called my boss at domino's pizza where I was working at the time. It was dead slow for about a week there. We were all just in shock. Seeing the footage again still inspires the same feelings!

Please keep everyone who was effected by that day in your prayers. God is good and has a purpose for everything no matter how hard it is or if we understand it or not. Please keep the people who are recovering from the earthquakes, floods and hurricanes in your prayers as well.

It's a blessing to say that I have more great projects coming in! After Labor Day I begin shooting a new documentary on the Indians in Clermont County, Ohio. This will be the second project I've worked on with my soon to be wife Melissa and we are reunited with Clermont County Historian Rick Crawford. We are definitely looking forward to to and this project will also be the first project we've shot on a hdslr a Panasonic gh2. Should be a great time!

God is good! It's wonderful to be working and to have many other projects being opened up as I type this. Please pray for everyone who is looking for a job out there and those who are in danger of losing their jobs. Pray for those who have been affected by the hurricane on the east coast!

It's been far and away one of the busiest years of my life. I'm very exhausted! So here's an update of what I've been up to.

I released my documentary on the underground railroad in Clermont County, Ohio and so far it's slow going but you never know what can happen. I've been surprised by the jumps in sales from a lot of my projects.

Warrior has been a battle in itself! The editing is complete but every time I try to add page numbers they change for no reason. So it's slowing me down.

I traveled to Hocking Hills, Ohio for some time away from everything to do some hiking with my fiance and her best friend and her best friend's husband. Getting around up there was a battle but when you go to your destinations it was just beautiful. So many wonderful natural caves and rock formations.

This week I was without water as my main water pipe going to the house had a major leak resulting in the water being shut off. So it's been a crazy week!

I am getting ready to research for my next documentary on Indians in the Clermont County area. I will once again be teaming up with Clermont County historian Rick Crawford. Rick is very knowledgeable and extremely giving with his time.

I am hoping that I can make some time to write some more on "Healer." I really haven't touched it in a long time.

God is still good and I hope I am glorifying Him with the life I am living. Any prayer requests? Send them my way!

Getting Things Done!

Finally I'm finishing up a few projects! Thank You God for giving me the time to get them done!

I will have my documentary "Candlelight By Night" finished up this weekend with the voice over and credits done. A 20 minute preview will be happening at the University of Cincinnati Clermont County campus on June 14th at 7pm. Very excited to have that happening!

"Warrior" has been delayed due to editing. I'm hoping to have some news on that front very soon.

I've been plugging away on "Healer" my book that appears to be on track for a release in 2012 unless something unforeseen happens and it comes out this year!

Some great faith based movies are coming out soon!! "Courageous" from the church that made the movies "Flywheel", "Facing the Giants", and "Fireproof" is due out this fall. In theater's now is "Soul Surfer".

It's been a great year so far!!!

Slowing down

I've been a bit negligent in posting updates so here we go.

I have been forcing myself to slow down a bit and get a few things finished and put one on hold for a month or so.

Warrior is being run through the editing paces. I've gone over it quite a few times and made more changes in verb tenses and using different words than ever before. It is my best work to date. Right now it's in the hands of Jim Mohr who does my website and has edited some of my work in the past. He's a true life saver and great friend.

I have been very slow to get to work on documentary I'm at least done with the interviews and I've been dragging my feet on the reenactments. It's not been easy to get that figured out.

God has been very good to me in seeing more positive reviews come up on my books on amazon.com. He has also opened a few doors for me and opened up my heart more than it has been in 8 or 9 years. He's surrounded me with many great friends and helped me to mature in many ways. There is no better feeling than to know that God is still working in your life and that He is still there everyday.

God bless each and everyone who reads this..encourage them, inspire them, comfort them, and keep them safe. Amen

Ready for a break

Been way too busy for words....Ok so lets start the rundown.

I've finished shooting all the interviews for the Underground Railroad documentary I'm working on. Very good news. Now it's on to the other parts such as reenactments, music and narrator. Still a ton to do to get this thing ready to release in May/June 2011.

I have another documentary coming up with my girlfriend on steamboat travel on the ohio river. Not much started their yet but some good sources aren't too far off.

"Warrior" is going through the editing and formatting process. I plan to make it available in paperback and ebook. Which brings me to a decision I've been thinking about quite a bit. I am going to try to release all my books in ebook/pdf for free on a few websites to be named later. I just got a nook and think it would be great to have them available for free since the nook can read pdfs.

Finally I'm turning 31 on friday and hope that means I can get a little bit of a break and get some sleep. I've been very busy and could really use the rest.

I've been crazy busy so much so that I've not been updating as much as I wish I could.

I've been finishing up interviews for my Underground Railroad Documentary "Candlelight By Night" with the National Underground Freedom Center.

I have had the pleasure of helping out Williamsburg High School get their video production equipment and program up in quality. They have fantastic students, faculty, and superintendent.

I plan on getting my third book edited very soon and released this summer.

God is moving. I need to spend much more time with Him. I am just a man but He is the creator of the universe. He's in control. Not me. Please keep me in your prayers.

No Such Thing

There is no such thing as enough prayer. We all need it..not just for ourselves but for everyone. Someone is always hurting, living, dying, healing, and breaking. As men and women of God it is our duty and privilege.

None of us are perfect no matter how well our lives are going in our minds. Let God keep us in humility, honesty, integrity, truth, and peace. We will all be accountable one day before God. That day can very easily be today.

Lord please help us to live lives that bring glory to You. Let us remember to build Your kingdom and not just our own. Give us eyes that see that which You desire of us. Help us to hunger and thirst for You and not the world and what it offers. God open our hearts and ears to listen, love, and be willing to do Your will. Please help us to build up and not tear down. Help us to be aware of our words and thoughts and how they effect others. God please help us to know that we are not alone and that our ways are not always the best way but Your way is. Lord we ask these things in Jesus name.
Amen.

Finishing the year!

As we wind down to the end of the year did you get everything you had planned done? Do you have any regrets? Were there some distractions on the way?

This year I've achieved more than I usually do in a year. I published a second version of "He's the Pen, I'm the Paper, and first version of "Thankful to be Useful." I finished writng "Warrior" and have a good start on "Healer." I got to shoot a music video with a great and talented artist "Appointed" for Georgia. I started a documentary on the Underground Railroad about the most recognized county for spots on the Underground Railroad. Professionally it was a fantastic year!

Personally God opened many doors I've been praying about for quite a while. I met someone wonderful this year and we've almost been together a full year. My health has improved dramatically as have many of my abilities. God is so good!

Thank you God for all that you did this year! I know that each year can't be like this but I thank you for it and hope that I will be thankful for it as the New Year begins.

Don't wait for the new year to start!! Start praying about next year and what God would have you do!

I've been consumed with this project quite a bit. Lots of time thinking about shooting and trying my best to get everything covered. Plenty of time setting up lighting and making sure everything is in working order.

Research and Thanksgiving

Blessings to everyone. Things are going very well on many project fronts.
I've got a few days of shooting down on my Underground Railroad Documentary tomorrow is a research day. My girlfriend Melissa has been a huge help and her ideas always give me another way to look at things to keep me thinking. I've been looking through a book published in 1898 for some background info and many more are yet to come.

I did a poetry reading with some great poets at the Anderson Center Fri. the 19th and met a lot of wonderful people. God is good!

I have continued writing on "Healer" and actually recited a few poems from it recently. It's a book that is an encouragement and more open to nonbelievers than I think any of my projects have ever been.

Finally...Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and please if you know someone over seas in the military that cant be home give them a call.

Scars Run Deeper Than The Skin

He got off the plane,
And one war veteran shakes his hand,
But then another person shouts,
Murderer!
He continues walking,
If you can call it that,
He's missing his right leg from the knee down,
The prosthetic is still taking some getting used to,
After retrieving his bag,
He heads out to rent a car,
Because he never owned one before he left,
Times we tough,
And his single mom didn't have the money,
She died two weeks after he left,
A blood clot she kept putting off going to the doctor for,
Because she didn't have the money,
He gets behind the wheel,
Broken from the war,
Scars visible on his body,
From an IDE,
But nothing compared to the scars on the inside,
He's alone,
And he has to deal with the nightmares,
The other troops that didn't get to come home,
Friends,
People he ate with,
Slept in the same room with,
Gone forever,
He's got to be strong,
Find a way to get all this pain out!
Suicide has crossed his mind a few times,
But he's not there yet,
He stops at a small mom and pop restaurant,
Then sits at the first table he sees on the right,
The older waitress comes up smiling,
Takes his order,
And begins to walk away,
But turns back,
Looks him in the eye,
And says,
I don't know exactly what you've been through,
But God can make beauty from ashes,
He just stares,
God?
God!
His mind wanders to his past with God,
I don't know anything about Him,
Accept people from a nearby church,
They used to bring food by the house sometimes,
And presents around Christmas,
Those were good people,
But he'd never been to church,
What could God do?
A voice in his head says,
Maybe more than you can think,

You ever been to church?
The waitress asks,
No,

Today I have drastically picked up the pace on "Healer". It will probably bring more tears and thought than I have into any project I've ever done. Now I'm not saying the other books aren't wonderful it's just this one is really meant to touch the heart in a very special place.

I've also decided that I needed to tell stories..deep, tragic, healing, helpful stories in this book. My work has never been so focused as it has been on these last two books. I want to touch peoples hearts if they happen to be followers of God good, if not just as good. I want to touch people who have never had any experience with God ever just as much as someone who lives their life for God.

I am working so much harder than I ever have at improving and encouraging others in these books. It's like when you have a camera and are taking a picture sometimes those pictures can be fuzzy and other times they are very very sharp and the details are amazing. With each book the writing is getting sharper.

I know I said it had been a struggle so far but today was a huge breakthrough.

Catching UP!

Been a very busy year and has continued to be so into fall. I've finished one book, started another, promoted two books,and released one. Things have been busy at my tv job and I signed up to do a documentary on The Underground Railroad in the county I live in. Wow! On top of that my son started kindergarten. So you can understand the lack of updates lately..right?

I've started writing "Healer" and so far it's been pretty rough. I can write about the pain but the healing parts aren't coming along so well yet. It's easy to understand pain because we all are going through it in one area or another but explaining how God can heal you from it without over stating the pain is proving to be extremely difficult. I could use some prayer for that.

Promoting the books hasn't been so easy either. It's hard getting people who don't know you to read your work. I'm learning and I feel much more comfortable with it now than I did. I send the books out to be reviewed and sometimes I expect to have someone just tear it to pieces so I can finally get that over with. So far everyone has enjoyed what they have read and some have cried, others have said it was exactly what churches should be talking about, still a few have found it simple but enjoyable, etc.

God give us all talents and time. We need to be wise stewards of both as well as everything He gives us. We only have so much time after all.

Completion and Reflection

As of today I have finished writing "Warrior." It's been an incredible journey taking me to new places in my writing and showing me the darker side of our spiritual battles that I don't think we are always aware of.

It's been a very busy year for me. While writing "Warrior" I also worked on ending and restarting "Small Town Coroner" which despite have a great ending left me wanting to know more about the characters and they struggles they may face in having a family.

We all have our struggles and to delve into the fears, ups, and downs was just too tempting to leave alone.

I also shot a music video for Christian recording artist Appointed. It had been several years since we had last made contact but about three weeks ago I got a message on facebook from someone I didn't know wanting to be my friend. Normally I don't say yes but this time I did. She wanted to do a music video for an upcoming album. So I said yes definatly.

So we start off with song selection..which lead to a lot of driving around in my car trying to find pictures,shots and much more to be a music video together. It was a huge adrenaline rush. So I had to slow down and get some research done as the song was selected. My girlfriend Melissa was a huge help during this process.

Next we had to figure out some details of how many people would be involved and when. So a week went by and then we set a date.

Then we got together in Cincinnati to get started. We spent close to eleven hours shooting in different lighting and locations. This pushed me to some places creatively I don't get the chance to go with video very often. So at the end of the day I think we were all pretty spent but had a great time working together.

Instead of shooting more I said I had enough and two days later I edited together the video with the help of Rodney Reed keeping me on the beat when I couldn't and Andy Crosier giving great suggestions to polish the whole project up. This was my first real venture using Final Cut Pro for a project like this.

So in the end everyone loved it and it was my best work. So here I am now trying to come down off the high of the project and relax. Trying to get back to even keel after working on a project like this is no easy task. Please keep me in your prayers and thank you for taking the time to read what I've been up too. Finally thank God for allowing all this to come together.

After reading about the response to the Americans killed in Afganistan I know it's time to pray. I knew a few people who personally knew one of those people killed. They are really hurting but know that they are with God. As I read post after post of people bashing them saying they had a death wish and shouldn't be forcing people to convert and Jesus on everyone. I can't believe the comments I'm reading.

Hate is spreading towards Christians all over the world. It seems like everyone wants to be tolerant of everything but Christians.

We need to pray like never before. Christians are continually killed, beaten and insulted all over the world. It's in this time we really need to dig deep and trust God. God warned us that this would happen..that we would need to pick up our cross daily and follow after him.

Writing and Fear

It has been a productive month for writing. Warrior is really taking form. I'm close to 60 pages in so that's very good. It's been a struggle to keep a writing schedule and stay motivated so the writing has been a little here, not much today, a lot the next day and then a week or so of thinking about the theme of the book. Sticking to the theme has made this a really big challenge but it's great to be stretched and grow.

Fear...
Do you ever just get scared? When live is going really well or going really bad I hit that point. I just doubt many things that are out of my control. You ever get that feeling?

Attitude Ajustment

Each day when I get up...I'm not always happy! I know it's a total shock but sometimes pressures and circumstances get to be too much. Something that is sure to give you an attitude adjustment is listening to praise and worship music and reading your bible in the morning. We all need more God. When we focus on Him our problems seem a lot smaller. Another thing that really helps is to pray for others. Life isn't about us. It's about God.

Since 1998 I have written over 700 poems, filled numerous notebooks, hard drives and even a few napkins. I hope that I will able to continue to improve and make eventually be able to make a living off my ability. I intend to take the steps I need to be successful. What are you reading right now? The bible? A novel? Fiction? Nonfiction?

Right now I'm reading Chicken Soup for the Christian Soul. Now I have read this at least once a year since 2001. I really love this book. It has a lot of great encouraging and heart warming stories spanning from forgiveness to losing a loved one. God is in control in all those circumstances and I love being reminded of that.

Remember it's not always about us because somewhere out there someone is always hurting more.

Success means nothing if you can't share it. Have you ever felt this way? I can make all the money in the world, have notoriety, fans, you name it but what's the point.

The longer I live the more I see that I need people in my life. Friends, family, and of course those who may become family. It's great not just to tell them how you are doing but hearing back. We all need it. Nobody can stand alone!

Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD. (NIV, Leviticus 19:18)

You have heard that the law of Moses says, "Love your neighbor and hate your enemy." But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and on the unjust, too. If you love only those who love you, what good is that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. (NLT, Matthew 5:43-48)

I've been writing Warrior at least 4 days a week. It's going a bit slower than I have previously written but doing an entire book on the many wars of our faith and our battles each day needs to be addressed.

Thankful To Be Useful is going to be up on the website very soon.(Just a few edits away)

I've been trying to get my novel going but it's been a struggle. I keep having problems with the order of the story. I've started over 3 times so far.

God is really starting to open a lot of doors for my writing(which is really his). I am hopeful that this year I will have quite a few chances to share my faith and books. You can now find some "mini" sermons I've done on Anderson Community Television here in Ohio.

Doubting Thomas?

Do you ever have doubts about your faith? Do you ever wonder if it's too good to be true? When you get let down do you doubt?

I hit those points just like we all do. I build something up in my head that just has to be God but then it doesn't happen and I feel like God didn't live up to his end of the bargain. It's not true but I just look for someone to blame.

We all struggle sometimes. But in a world where everything is online or can be figured out quickly we have a hard not having all the answers. It's hard not being able to understand why everything happens.

There are some things we just can never figure out. God knows what is best. The bible says in Proverbs 14:12

Small Town Coroner has been completed. It's been a wonderful journey of growth for myself and a total joy. I'm very thankful for God to allow me to have anything to do with it.

I'm thankful to finally have some time to get back to the blog. I've been trying to finish up small town coroner, working on the novel which isn't going all that well, getting ebook versions of He's the Pen, I'm the Paper and Thankful to be Useful available on my website. Thankfully my good friend and webmaster of my website Jim Mohr has been extremely helpful and encouraging about it. Jim is a very good friend and by his talents I have been able to reach people online for almost 10 years now. Once the books are up on the website I intend to begin my next book Warrior. Life has been so good and God is really shinning on my life. Thank You God for all the blessing you have placed upon my family, friends, career and my entire life. Do you ever plan something but get so distracted that it doesn't get done? I've had quite a few things I want to get done. Obviously my ebooks are very important and I haven't delivered. Now I'm looking in the mirror and saying hey it's time to go. God I have got to continue to grow in You. God you are my creator and have done more in my life than I could ever understand. The bible says that "We can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Nothing is impossible with God." I have got to start showing that in my life. March 4th I turn 30. Hard to believe that much time has passed. Looking at my son I know that it has. I've been busy switching computers, changing Internet connections and finally getting back to writing.
I'm winding down to the end of small town coroner but maybe it will never end. There are always adventures ahead though.
I lost all my work on the novel I've been working on and it's been a struggle to get it moving again. I've one paragraph done. I know the story but getting it written is proving to be a real challenge.
My two poetry ebooks are taking more time than I expected. I'm pretty awful at formatting them correctly and I've found a friend to undertake that. I am very anxious about getting them out. Mentally I'm very geared up for the promotion of them both. I also look forward to working with amazon.com. I know I can trust them and it's not always that way I'm learning the hard way.

Life is going very well and I'm excited about the direction God is taking me. Please keep me in your prayers. It can often be hard staying focus on Him with so many things going on.

Today I was sick. Physically sick with the flu. I got a phone call I didn't want. I used some very unkind words. I sinned. I tore someone down. It's is so clear that I will never out grow my need for God. I will always be a sinner no matter where I am or who I may become on this planet.

Ask God for forgiveness today. We can never have enough of him in our life. We will always be flawed.

Do you ever get to the point where you have all the bills paid and actually have something left over? Because if you do then you have more than most people in the world. We live in a place where everyone is overspending and many many others are barely surviving. People in countries all around the world are left in situations where there are no jobs and food can be even more scarce. Their homes aren't much more than a bundle of sticks put together. Many are left out in the rain. So before you go and complain about having too many bills..never having enough. Think about those you have nothing. Pray to God and thank Him for everything He's ever done for you to have what you do have. Thank Him that you do have food to eat, a place to live, a vehicle, clothing and so much more. In your abundance don't forget those who have nothing.

Making every second count

Watching all the coverage of the Chris Henry death has really made me think. We need to make every second count. You never know when it will be your time to go. I know I don't want to be left thinking..why didn't I do this or make time to be a better....

Take the time to slow down in life and really show appreciation for the people around you. Pray like you really mean it. Don't just go through the motions!!!

Looking back over this year it has been a year of some very difficult trials, mountain climbing experiences and the joy and confidence that comes from getting through them all. He's the Pen, I'm the Paper is available in over 17 countries, an e-book version is coming re-edited and Thankful to be Useful is ready for the editing stage as well. I plan on releasing it in e-book format first and then in paperback. God has taken me to places I have never been before in my faith, relationships, and truthfully every area there is. Today I was thinking about a favorite movie of mine...Facing the Giants. There is a quote from the coach that is ringing true in my life this week..."We praise Him when we win, we praise Him when we lose." Don't we all need that advice. Because as we succeed we often forget who has given us the opportunity to succeed. We think it's us but it's not. It's God. Without Him nothing is possible but with Him all things are possible. My book hit the market this week and today just became available on amazon.com. Now this is a time when I could let that go to my head and just think I'm so great. But instead I've been nervous. I've been praying. Let this book reach further than I will ever travel. Let this book glorify God, encourage others and reach people who are not Christians yet. Micheal Jordan said that he could succeed because he had failed. I agree. It's not being afraid to fail that can be what it takes to be successful. I have attempted nearly everything I have ever dreamed of in life. I am constantly dreaming, trying, failing and succeeding. I learn so much from my failures that they push me. I am constantly praying and asking for guidance. Obviously I can't achieve all my dreams. But when it's not just about me but about reaching people for God. That's where I truly find success.

Today I sent in 5 corrections for the text portion and now I just wait for it to all be put together. I'm very anxious to get this book on the shelves and next year I plan to release "Thankful to be Useful". I'm hopeful that God uses these to encourage people and reach some of the lost out there who don't know what God is all about. Thank you to every reader of this blog. Weak

When you are weak, He is strong. Have you ever felt like giving up? You are tired, frustrated and just don't know if it's worth doing anymore. That's is actually a very good place to be. It's in that moment that we relize we can't do it. No matter how hard we try it's not up to us. We relize that God is the one who is doing the heavy lifting in our lives. We can't carry the burden or complete the tasks He asks us to complete without Him. It's easy for us to think we can do everything on our own. It may be through the help of money or just our faith in ourselves that puts us in that mindset. But when we are weak and we call out to Him and spend time reading His word and putting it into practice that we find sucess. So take time out and find a quiet place and pray, relax and trust Him.

The bible says"Hope deferred makes the heart sick." Some of use don't hope for anything anymore because we've been let down so often. We have to find a balance. The bible says when a desire comes, it is health to the bones. It makes us happy, it gives us life.

Whatever we put into our minds is bound to come out. If we spend all our time watching trash tv, listening to Hollywood gossip and some pretty rough stuff on the radio then how to we expect to be Godly? So many people expect God to do something in their lives but they haven't spent the time with God to get there. If we spend time in prayer, reading the Bible and quiet time with God we will reap the fruit of a close relationship with God. When we praise Him no matter what God knows He can use and mold us because we truly want to be in His presence. We have His kingdom mindset. So when you get up everyday and before you go to bed...think about "Did I have His kingdom mindset?"

No Limits on God

I just got back from a 2 hour worship service. Wow! That was an experience. I've never seen anything like that. You know sometimes we put limits on our experience with God. We are used to things being done a certain way. If it's not our way we don't want to receive it. It doesn't work that way. If it stand up to the test of bible then how can we deny the teaching or worship, maybe even the way someone is praying. God doesn't do it your way. That's burger king. When God does things there is a purpose to who He is using who and why. None of us have any right to say that's not God if it stands up in God's word. Try to take down those limits. Pray about it and see if God doesn't open your eyes to much more.

Let them off the hook

Today and Yesterday someone just tore me down. Just insulted and insulted me. You know what I let it go. None of the things this person said were true. So I went to the bible..Colossians 3:13
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. So I forgave them. You might have someone who just messed up your day or week and you are struggling to forgive them. God can help you do it. There was a man who was ministering in Germany after world war II. He gave an alter call and a man came forward who was in Hitler's army and had been one of the cruelest guards. The man who gave the alter call was in his concentration camp. But something happened nobody expected..He stuck out his hand and said if I can forgive you so can God!
